Originally constructed in 1927, Hoch Auditoria was significantly damaged in 1991 when lightning sparked a fire that destroyed Hoch Auditoria. The historic limestone façade, stair towers, north foyer were saved and integrated into a the new building, Budig Hall, in 1997. The three and one-half story Indiana limestone building is in need of exterior stone cleaning and pointing. The project scope includes tuckpointing the limestone façade, replacement / repair of damaged limestone, replacement of all sealant joints at exterior, sealing of the limestone façade, and historic wood window restoration, replication, and refinishing. The project is also pursuing State of Kansas Historic Tax Credits.
