The new Blue Springs High School Activities Wing addition provides much needed space and updates for the school's band and sports teams as well as a new attendance and activities offices. Student's are greeted by the school mascot emblazoned above the doors leading to Wildcat Walk, a grand hall with views to the stadium, space to gather, and displays highlighting the school's strong culture. The band room's glass curtainwall proudly displays the audio file of the Blue Springs High School Fight Song superimposed upon a music staff. The fritted south-facing glazing along Wildcat Walk is designed to provide shading while also maintaining views to the athletic complex. 

The new 22,000sf band suite is home to the 210+ student Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment marching band as well wind symphony, concert band, jazz ensemble, color guard, and other performance groups. The complex includes the band room, percussion room, small group rehearsal rooms, music library, offices, team store, uniform and instrument storage. A new 2-bay loading dock serves the band's needs for their over-the-road shows and improved access to the school's existing performing arts center stage.

The large band room windows provide ample natural daylight and mezzanine level views to the band's practice field with 3-story director's tower. The interior louvers filter the daylight and also serve as a part of the room's multi-layered approach to acoustics. The high volume of the band room allows the color guard, flag and rifle teams to also practice in the multi-use space. 

The activities wing also includes a new auxiliary gymnasium, multi-sport lockers, cardio-mezzanine, and dual-use stadium/activities restrooms. A new restroom and concessions building was added to improved the game day experience.

The building addition is largely constructed using insulated precast concrete panels. The percussion room and auxiliary gym serve as Tornado Safe Rooms for the school's students, faculty, and staff.
